Important information to know for billing telehealth
Dear Michigan RHCs – Important information to know for billing telehealth:

Medicaid does not accept the G2025 (Medicare telehealth code), you must bill with the E&M code and T1015 in order to get the Medicaid RHC visit count.

1st example:
G2025 sent to Medicare
Medicare crosses over to Medicaid
claim paid at $0.00 or rejected
claim will not count as RHC for Medicaid

2nd example
G2025 sent to Medicare
Medicare crosses over to Medicaid
Void claim with Medicaid
Send in claim with G2025 and T1015
claim will not count as RHC for Medicaid

3rd example (and correct way to do it)
G2025 sent to Medicare
Medicare crosses over to Medicaid
Void claim with Medicaid
Send in claim with E&M code (i.e. 99213, 99214, etc) and T1015
claim WILL count as RHC for Medicaid
