DATA 2000 Waiver Training Payment Program
From: Nathan Baugh, Director of Government Affairs nathan.baughDear RHC Community,

I know there is a lot going on right now but I wanted to make sure you all were aware of this opportunity that begins tomorrow.

HRSA will pay $3,000 per RHC clinician if they obtained their DATA 2000 waiver on or after January 1, 2019.

This money comes from a provision within the SUPPORT Act which Congress passed with overwhelming bipartisan majorities in October of 2018 in an effort to combat the Opioid crisis.

RHCs will need to apply through HRSA’s Electronic Handbook or EHB. There is $2 million available for this program which breaks out to just over 650 payments to RHC/FQHC clinicians and it is a first come first serve program so if your clinicians are eligible, I would advise that you apply sooner rather than later.
